Had the immense pleasure of doing the sound design and some original music for my friend Matt's new animated short film Bad Guy With a Gun. Nothing gets me into a time warp creative state like meticulously sliding sounds millimeters to the left or right. I sometimes think I don't enjoy the mixing stages of music production but now I think I really do. Looking forward to doing more stuff like this.Anyways, check it out!

Behind my workplace there is a certain squalid intersection that seems to attract Oakland's abandoned vehicles. This RV had been there for a couple months and I finally managed to snap a picture of it. The very next day the city came and took it away. I guess I got lucky. I guess now it is free.
2/23/23 Accelerate (demo)
I have too many gadgets, too many gizmos, too many pedals, too many distractions. For this track I stripped it back down to acoustic guitar and voice. It's always where I felt most comfortable I guess. I recorded this one straight into my cell phone as a one shot and then added some overdubs of the vocal track. I completely wrecked my voice and hands hammering this track out over and over again. I was seconds away from losing it completely but then I mellowed out and nailed it. Well kinda. I mean I think the rawness is the point.On the surface the track is about stealing someone's girl because the world is going to shit anyways. Deeper though, I guess it's about wanting to speed up the changes in life. The on the off the on again. Once you've got it figured out why not accelerate?
